Ready to travel to India? But, before packing your bags, there are some travel documents that you’ll need to prepare for this travel, such as the Air Suvidha Self Declaration form, mandatory to enter India. Wondering what is Air Suvidha form? Don’t worry, here we have covered the latest instructions for filling up the Self-Declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal for visitors travelling to India.

What Is Air Suvidha Form?

Air Suvidha is an online system or contactless solution for international passengers to submit a mandatory self-declaration form to declare their current health status. It was launched in 2020 by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health Family Welfare, which is facilitated by the Delhi Airport for all international travellers coming to India. The purpose and intent behind this form are the make contact tracing easier and to allow the authorities to inform travellers that may have been exposed to the coronavirus.

The Air Suvidha registration form is a mandatory requirement that needs to be filled out before you begin your travel to India. It needs to submit irrespective of your COVID-19 vaccine status whether you are fully vaccinated or not. So, if you’re travelling from UAE to India, you need to fill out this form, whether you’re an Indian citizen or a UAE citizen.

Is It Still Mandatory To Fill Air Suvidha Exemption Form?

The Air Suvidha Exemption form has been discontinued. All international passengers arriving in India must now complete the self-declaration forms through the Air Suvidha portal. The government said – “To ensure the necessary prevention of the Omnicron Variant of the COVID-19 virus, the exemption forms from the Air Suvidha porta have been discontinued, and filling of the details have been made compulsory for all international passengers arriving in India.”

Uploading Of Vaccine Certificate Or RT-PCR Report On Air Suvidha Portal Is Not Required Anymore

The Government of India has terminated the requirement of uploading a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or negative RT-PCR test report on the Air Suvidha portal by international passengers before arriving in India. According to the sources, passengers were constantly complaining about the portal being down on a regular basis, as well as difficulty accessing forms and uploading certificates. This removal of the provision comes as a relief for the travellers filling this self-declaration form.

But, the requirement of filling out the Self Declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal is still mandatory to travel to India. You are required to carry your complete COVID-19 vaccination certificate or the RT-PCR test report (conducted within 72 hours of your departure) along with you. The officials of the airport will check and verify these documents on your arrival.
